The screen resolution (or browser size) used by a visitor to your site greatly impacts their experience with your design.  You should take this into account when creating your design so that you can have the greatest impact on the greatest number of visitors.

While there are certainly similarities between designing print work and designing websites, simply because a designer can execute a great print piece does not necessarliy mean they understand the requirements for creating an effective website design.
